Compresses

For your first aid kit, think about compresses! GM Equipment proposes differents matter, dimension and packaging.

The compress allows to clean, disenfect or to protect a wound. It is also used to absorb blood in case of bleeding or to dry up with its hydrophilic property.

Prefer the sterile compress for hospital areas or for action which need a high asepsis. Use the non sterile compress in order to care simple wound.

You can find below two kinds of differents compresses :

1. Nonwoven compresses are softer and are use for sensitive part of the body such as eyes or open wound.
2. Woven compresses have a higher cleaning power but are roughter. They are flexible and resistant and are so more often used to hold a plaster.

Bands and bandages

GM Equipment proposes to his customer several kind of bandes with different uses:

1. Gauze bands allow to cover a wound over the compress in order to hold it.
2. Extensive bands have the same use but thanks to their composition (60% viscose – 40%cotton) they can be elongated in order to create a pressure.
3. Crepe bands are ticker and less extensible. They allow to wrap larger member.

Choose the band which fit to your needs and the ones of your customers. If you create your customed first aid kit or cabinet, do not forget to put bands.
